China Buffet rebuilding

Finally found out what's going on at the old Long John Silvers (5515 Charlotte Pike) that was demolished back in late 2012. According to a permit pulled back in December, the China Buffet – who was the last business to reside there – is simply rebuilding a new restaurant on the old footprint. So not much change here except that it will be a new building.

Off topic, does anyone know what happened to Stonehouse Q? It appears they are on their way out and Slow & Low BBQ is coming soon. They have a current location on 1st Ave. between Jefferson and James Robertson. When you visit stonehouseq.com it redirects you to Slow and Low's website. Any relation between the two bbq joints? I enjoyed the Stonehouse Q family and thought their food was pretty good. I'm hoping Slow and Low picks up where they left off.

Hey Chris, it looks like Stonehouse Q on 54th Ave. is on its way out and Slow and Low BBQ is coming soon. This is according to a sign outfront and stonehouseq.com redirects you to Slow and Low BBQ. Have you heard or seen any details on this? Slow and Low has a location on 1st ave on the east bank and this will be their second location. Hate to see Stonehouse Q go, but glad to see another restaurant step right in.

First I am hearing of it. At least we're not technically losing the restaurant. Thanks for sharing.
