Calypso Cafe could be latest newcomer to Charlotte

The Calypso Cafe located on Hwy 70 in Belle Meade recently was shut down due to some sales tax infractions. According to this article in The Tennessean, a sign posted on the door says that a new location will be opening in 2014 at 3307 Charlotte Avenue (across the street from Bro's...see photo below).

It seems the momentum is continuing in a positive direction. We'll get more information as it's made available.

I wish that more good places would open closer to the White Bride Rd. intersection and on toward Nashville West. Wonder why they're opening a new Calypso so close to the Elliston Ave location.

@anon - I think as things begin to develop along Charlotte, you will start to see more development move further west. In regards to Calypso, the Elliston location will be closing once the Charlotte space is ready to go.

Is Calypso still moving to Charlotte? Although work is still ongoing at the new location, there has been a "Space Available" sign in front for the past few weeks.
